We are looking for an assembler for a manufacturer in New Castle, PA. This local company has developed new technologies and products for over 60 years. They have 150 employees, and are still growing and looking to add to their team. They maintain a strong people focused environment, and offer excellent pay, benefits and opportunities to their team members.
Working in the bright clean manufacturing space, the assembler will:
- Install wiring harnesses into electrical equipment using industrial wiring diagrams
- Drill and insert rivets and nuts into the metal units
- Test using a voltage meter. Check operation and troubleshoot
Current opportunities are on the second shift, which is 2pm- 10pm, Monday- Friday. When first shift positions become available, employees will have the opportunity to move into them if they desire. The plant is located between Butler and New Castle, PA.
At one year of employment, people in this job are making 45-48K, plus the annual increase to employees and any performance based increases. The starting rate for second shift is 20.00- 21.00 an hour plus 50c at 90 days, plus the annual increase in July, plus an annual bonus which has been in the 2-3K range. And the company pays for healthcare for a family! Direct hire to company payroll.
Qualifications
- Requires the ability to read industrial wiring diagrams. This could be from working in manufacturing assembly, working on heavy equipment or trucks, industrial maintenance, or work on commercial electrical equipment like garage doors. Someone who has acquired a strong knowledge of wiring diagrams from school is qualified. We do test.
- Ability to use power and air tools.
- This position requires standing for 8 hours shifts and lifting 50lbs when necessary.
