Role: Software Test Engineer
Location: Erie, PA-100% onsite Interview Process: Phone/Skype Job Type: ContractWe are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team, with a focus on testing and validating software applications for Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software testing, experience with PTC systems, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical safety-critical systems and contribute to the development of innovative railway solutions.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Test and validate PTC (Positive Train Control) software applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, systems engineering, and project management to identify and resolve software defects Participate in Agile Scrum teams to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop test cases for new PTC features Analyze and troubleshoot software defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to PTC systems+5 years' experience in software testing (test plans, test cases creation, test execution, reporting, bug reporting)
+5 years experience in Software release Regression testing +1 Experience with PTC - (Positive Train Control) software applications1 - Low Develop and maintain automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
4 Medium/High - Experience in Jenkins and Git, JIRA, WinSCP, Script Builder, Putty, IBM Jazz, Wireshark 100% onsite position, experience with PTC - (Positive Train Control) software applications could be a challenge to identify profiles, open to evaluate profiles without PTC that match other mandatory requirementsAdditional Information
