Registered Nurse- Operating Room

East Side Surgery Center is looking for a Operating Room Nurse to join our team. This person is responsible for meeting the nursing care needs of the patients in the operating room to which he/she is assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care – The registered nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable for quality of care delivered to his/her patient, and maintains nursing standards while supporting patients with all applicable medical needs.
• Maintains a safe environment and promotes patient safety.
• Self motivated; able to accept quick, repetitive, surgical procedures and find satisfaction in the job.
• Maintains a positive attitude and is able to be a team player, working smoothly with other members of the surgical team.

Requirements:

• Completed RN training program and have PA Licensure
• BLS, ACLS and PALS training
• A minimum of three years current OR experience
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
• Must be able to recognize and institute treatment for the following OR emergencies: Cardiac arrhythmias; Cardiac Arrest; and Airway obstruction, Malignant Hyperthermia.
• Must be willing to work overtime and/or be flexible with hours of work as staffing needs change.
