Services Category Manager
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve Supply Chain goals regarding cost, risk management, and quality of services. Implement and monitor tools and best practices to drive best cost solutions. Collaborate with other Category Managers to identify sourcing best practices.
- Analyze data and market insights to understand market trends in key services. Support the development of savings calculation methodologies specific to services. Conduct spend data analysis regularly to monitor changes in spending patterns for services. Report and analyze savings achieved periodically.
- Benchmark rates for key roles using reputable national or global data sources to support the rate negotiations with suppliers. Monitor the level of success of the pre-established strategies and adjust the course of action as required, promoting continuous improvement. Systematically monitor shortages in specific roles or disciplines to manage the associated risks.
- Negotiate supply agreements with service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions and to meet Emerson's and the customer's requirements. Coordinate the new supplier's prequalification process and approval.
- Support the segmentation, identification, and definition of both critical services and "preferred" service suppliers. Acts as the Category expert, ensuring proper communication and implementation of agreements, changes, and updates. Coordinate and lead Supplier Business Reviews (SBR) periodically. Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Forecasts services demand through early collaboration with proposals and project teams. Partner with project teams to develop and foster long-term relationships with the preferred service suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in a Business field or Technical background.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge in various Supply Chain methodologies and processes
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and data analytics knowledge.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- Master's degree in business or technical area
- 10+ years industry experience
