Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Monitor Technician. You will be responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac waveforms, rhythms, and measurements.
Job Description
- Continuously observe, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and waveforms for patients on telemetry monitoring.
- Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms and significant changes in patient cardiac status to the appropriate clinical staff in a timely manner.
- Accurately measure and interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs as required.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Ensure accurate documentation in patient records, monitoring logs, and other required systems.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Support patient care through consistent vigilance, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1-year acute care experience and at least 2 years of total clinical experience
- Proficient in monitoring vital signs, reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, and identifying cardiac anomalies
- Skilled in the continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac waveforms, rhythms, and measurements
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- AHA BLS - required
- EKG Certification - required
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM; rotating weekends
- Must be available to work holidays and commit to the schedule provided by the facility.
Pay rate
- $28.00 per hour
