Laurel Lakes Rehab and Wellness Center is currently looking for a Full Time Clinical Education Director Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with leading our nursing team! Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in long-term care? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for YOU!

Requirements of the Clinical Education Director Registered Nurse (RN):

• Must possess, as a minimum, an Associates Degree, or BS preferred and completed nursing school

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.

• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.

• Must have experience in supervising, managerial and principles, practice of teaching, etc.

• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Education Director Registered Nurse (RN):

• Communicate with department directors to determine departmental training needs

• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program that orients the new employee to our infection prevention and control and employee health programs.

• Provide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for Nurse Supervisors/Charge Nurses.

• Participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes for CNAs/GNAs and any other nursing personnel that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.

• Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.

• Assist in training department personnel in identifying tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
