Lecturer school marketing department

The Marketing Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania seeks to hire a full-time lecturer for the 2026-2027 academic year. We are seeking a dedicated, accomplished, creative full-time instructor to teach primarily in our undergraduate (UG) program.

All teaching will take place on the University's campus in Philadelphia, PA. The position will start in Fall 2026 with an initial appointment for one year. A competitive salary will be provided.

In addition to their teaching role, lecturers will be a welcome part of the Department's research community, including attending department seminars and potentially collaborating with department faculty and doctoral students.

Note that lecturers are not eligible for tenure and do not have voting rights in the department or the school. The position may be renewed based on the needs of the department.

Ideal candidates are expected to have a deep knowledge of Marketing, be able to teach a variety of different courses, and possess the interest and ability to supervise students and associated projects. Applicants must have a degree from an accredited institution; a Ph.D. is preferred. As excellence in teaching is one of the primary criteria for this position, applicants must have outstanding (demonstrated) communication skills.
