PHARMACY DATA ENTRY TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining patient and prescription information in our system. This position plays a vital role in ensuring prescription accuracy and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance details, allergies, and prescription information (medication, dosage, frequency) with speed and accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and compliant patient records and prescription files.
- Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance benefits, resolve discrepancies, and process claims.
- Prescription Processing: Handle new and refill prescriptions and prepare medications for dispensing and shipping.
- Customer Service: Answer phone calls, address patient questions, and provide clear, helpful information.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure safe and efficient medication management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred
Skills:
- Fast and accurate typing and data entry
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and common medications
- Experience using pharmacy software or data entry tools
- Understanding of insurance billing and claims
Experience:
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is required

Work Schedule:
- Must be available during our business hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM - 2 PM
