R&D Project Planner Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position Type: Full-Time

The Opportunity Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and project management? We are seeking an R&D Project Planner to serve as a vital link in our drug development process. Working under the direction of our Project Management Leads (PMLs), you will provide the day-to-day planning infrastructure necessary to execute complex R&D goals and maintain high-level corporate reporting.

This is a high-visibility role where you will act as the Planisware "Super User," ensuring our official corporate planning systems are accurate, compliant, and optimized for divisional resource forecasting.

Your Impact

• Project Architecture: Generate and update detailed project plans by interacting with Functional Matrix Teams (FMTs) to map out interdependencies and critical path activities.

• Critical Path Management: Monitor progress against agreed plans, providing prompt alerts to leadership regarding potential bottlenecks to facilitate rapid resolution.

• Dynamic Scenarios: Create Gantt views and generate "live" scenario options during project team meetings to support strategic decision-making.

• System Stewardship: Ensure Planisware data integrity to support downstream Portfolio Reporting and interact with the Business Support Organization (BSO) for system improvements.

• Strategic Advisory: Present planning knowledge in working meetings, advising teams on how specific activities impact key milestones.

• The Planisware Expert: You possess a track record of using Planisware (or similar tools like MS Project) and enjoy being the go-to technical resource for a team.

• The Cross-Functional Collaborator: You have a curious, inquisitive mind and the confidence to seek clarifications from various departments.

• The Problem Solver: You excel at technical troubleshooting and possess the "attention to detail" required for complex drug development timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in project planning, ideally within the drug development or pharmaceutical industry.

• Technical Skills: Advanced aptitude for computer software and project management applications; Planisware experience is highly preferred.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present technical data to diverse project teams.
