Quality Inspector

Trigo is seeking a full time Traveling Quality Inspector in the Shippensburg PA area.

MUST BE BASED NEAR OR AROUND Shippensburg PA. Pay is $18-20hr and 1st shift.

Core hours Mon - Fri 5:30a-2:30p weekends and overtime flexible when deployed

* Overall Purpose

The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.

Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Customer Relationship & Business Development

* Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria

* Operations

* Performs audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use

* Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assembles

* Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader

* Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material

* Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job

* Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment

* Other duties as assigned

* Organization & Management

* This position does not include supervisory responsibilities

* Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies

* Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies

* In proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery
