Are you a seasoned commercial roofing professional with a passion for customer service, quality, and safety? Join our team as a Commercial Roofing Service Foreman!
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Foreman to join our dynamic team. As a key member of a two-person team, you will work closely with a Technician to deliver exceptional roofing services and repairs at customer job sites. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction in every job you perform.

Must have current residency in the greater Pittsburgh area for hands on project work on existing buildings the the designated areas.

Team Leadership & Communication:
- Lead and mentor Technician 2, ensuring effective coordination of daily tasks.
- Maintain open communication with your supervisor and the client’s point of contact (POC).
- Provide clear updates to clients regarding project progress and any changes.
On-Site Roofing Services:
- Identify and repair roof deficiencies, including leaks, flashing issues, and membrane concerns.
- Perform roofing tasks such as tear-offs, insulation installation, membrane welding, and flashings.
- Conduct detailed work on roofing components, such as pipes, curbs, and walls.
- Ensure strict compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure inventory is up to date.
- Promptly report any equipment or vehicle issues.
- Operate and maintain all roofing tools and equipment in optimal condition.
Work Generation & Proposals:
- Submit proposals for additional work, including NTE increases, qwikbids, and work expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with the client’s POC to identify potential areas for additional service.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Capture before-and-after photos and detailed descriptions of service activities.
- Upload service details to internal applications.
- Provide work summaries to clients and complete all required documentation, including timesheets.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols.
- Guarantee team compliance with all safety and manufacturer specifications during every job.
- Valid, clean driver’s license.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial roofing experience, 5 years in commercial roofing preferred.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team or helper.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Proficiency with mobile applications for service documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to obtain any necessary OSHA certifications.
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as needed.
- Coordinate and review daily tasks with Technician 2.
- Safely drive to job sites and introduce the team to the client’s POC.
- Perform inspections, document roof deficiencies, and conduct necessary repairs.
- Identify opportunities for additional repairs or services and submit proposals.
- Maintain vehicle and tool readiness for each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide clients with work summaries and ensure complete satisfaction.
- Complete timesheets and necessary service documentation.
