Traveling Superintendent
- Labor Coordination
- Periodically sign-up new field employees when hired. Make sure all the required paperwork is filled out legibly and accurate.
- Be familiar with all union agreements and National Maintenance, etc.
- Support all branches with labor concerns or situations.
- Attend project interviews when required. Field any labor related questions or concerns.
- Assist with disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Productivity
- Travel to new sites (in/out PA) and assist in initial site set-up.
- Heavy involvement with planning projects up front.
- Assist projects with proper staffing, equipment, tools and material needs.
- Be a resource to help improve productivity by attending preplanning meetings and visiting jobsites with Project Managers and making suggestions for improvement of resources and methods.
- Attend weekly short interval planning meetings onsite or online when required.
- Assist new foreman with schedule preparation and see they are managed accordingly.
- Coordinate with the field productivity team and Tool Manager to ensure new tools are utilized properly.
- Be a member of the productivity and safety committees.
- Identify (with help from Project Managers) productivity initiatives and craftsmanship awards and share at the foremen meeting.
- Promote jobsite organization & logistics.
- Assist in planning major shutdowns.
- Identify at-risk projects, assist in recovery planning and manage the implementation of the necessary actions.
- Assist the design build project development team with jobsite audits from a constructability standpoint.
- Prior foreman experience required
- Valid PA Driver's License required
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with various departments of the company, as well as clients and subcontractors
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task with high sense of urgency
- Provide personal transportation for meetings and job sites away from the office
- Some knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical work
