Property Maintenance Technician

Location: Landsdale, PA
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

We are seeking an apartment maintenance technician to perform hands-on facilities maintenance. They will be responsible for ensuring the residential complex remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Their core duties involve troubleshooting in-unit repairs (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) and preparing vacant apartments for new tenants.

Responsibilities:

*Resident Service Requests: Respond to and resolve tenant maintenance tickets (e.g., leaky faucets, broken outlets, clogged drains) promptly and professionally.
*Unit Turns (Make-Readies): Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by painting, replacing fixtures, checking appliances, and performing deep cleaning.
*System Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix basic heating/cooling systems, lighting, circuit breakers, and structural issues.
*Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of building systems, common areas, and amenities to prevent emergencies and ensure code compliance.
*Emergency On-Call: Participate in a rotating after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call schedule to handle critical maintenance emergencies.
*Grounds Upkeep: Assist with exterior property maintenance, including landscaping, trash removal, and seasonal tasks like snow removal.

Qualifications & Requirements:

*Experience: requires 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
*Certifications: An EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) for handling refrigerants and HVAC systems is frequently mandatory or highly preferred.
*Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing ladders).
*Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team alongside property managers
