Manage a team of Software Development Engineers responsible for the planning and designing of cloud software and micro services applications using Go; develop APIs; use AWS and Google Platform (GCP) cloud services; build distributed applications using Python; develop software in cloud-based technologies using REST, JSON, Avro, gRPC, and Protobuf; work in an Agile development environment; use Kubernetes, MapReduce, and Spark; use SQL, and Cassandra NoSQL database, for cloud-based applications; develop data pipelines and data warehouses; provision and configure internet gateways using cloud-based services including WebPA and WebConfig; develop software using Go; develop message and data pipeline technologies including Apache Kafka, Kafka streams, and RabbitMQ; manage projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications; collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct testing; develop financial and operational objectives; ensure operational plans are aligned with business objectives and contribute to functional strategy development; provide guidance to the Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements; direct the implementation of new initiatives for new software products and applications; and provide leadership and direction to the department personnel. Position is eligible for 100% remote work. In performing duties, travel 5% domestically and/or internationally.
