Housekeeper- Day Shift (Full-Time)

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes patients’ rooms and bathrooms daily.
• Disposes of trash and replenishes supplies according to proper procedures.
• Moves furniture and other fixtures to dust and mop floor, resets furniture to present an attractive environment for patients and visitors.
• Washes walls behind sinks and commodes.
• Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms adhering to proper policy and procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects ancillary areas. (Utility and linen rooms, nurse’s stations, lounges, etc.).
• Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks in hallways, telephones, and chair rails.
• Vacuums carpets and damp dusts furniture weekly in office areas.
• Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.

Schedule : 7AM – 3:30PM. The schedule will typically be 5, rotating days a week. This opportunity has no specific unit assignment. This will be a floater position and will cover all units. Can complete housekeeping duties in any area of the hospital needed. May be pulled to other areas/shifts/days at the needs of the Hospital.
