CT Scan Technologist I - Outpatient - FT - Day - West Grove (West Grove)

The  ChristianaCare West Grove location is currently recruiting for a Full-Time CT Scan Technologist I.

Shift:

• 7:30a - 4p and other hours as needed.

• Weekends as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units, radiology supported

computer systems and CD Burners.

• Performs CT procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
• Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient.
• Uses 3 patient identifiers at all times
• Maintains patient confidentially.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of a two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Completion of ARRT registry in CT scan required (achieved within two years of hire).
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required.
• Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.
• Certification in CPR.
• An associate’s degree is preferred for this position.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients .
• Completion of IV training course.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• State Licensure on Radiation Protection if applicable
• The successful completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.
• Completion of IV training course.

This position pays between $37.38 and $51.40.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
