Health Information Specialist
SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Home Care Health Information Specialist is responsible for reviewing medical records to facilitate the accurate representation of the record by improving the quality of the physician and mid-level provider's clinical documentation. This involves extensive record review and education interaction with physicians and other applicable clinicians. Processes orders and Face to Face documentation to physicians and follows up on unsigned documentation. Offers technical support related to physician offices and use of electronic communication.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One-year office experience in Health Care Setting required
- Specific software certification or applicable experience preferred
- Previous Health Information Management experience preferred
- Proficient understanding of Medicare compliance preferred.
- Experience with revenue cycle, patient accounts, and/or third-party insurance collections preferred.
- Knowledge of Home Care Information Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with weekend and holidays included.
