What you will be doing:

• Performing general accounting and fiscal management functions.
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger, including monthly, bank, and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Preparing and filing quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end filings, reconciliations, W2's and 1099's.

What we'll expect from you:

• Must have proficient QuickBooks knowledge with the ability to train and trouble shoot client issues within the software.
• Supervisory duties, including reviewing the work prepared by junior accountants for accuracy and completion.
• Ability to engage effectively with clients and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate quality decisions in a timely manner.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or business with accounting and finance coursework. A CPA is a plus. At least 3 years' experience in a similar role. Individual and business tax preparation experience is a plus.
• Technology & Other Skills: Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and procedures. Experience using the Microsoft Suite and various accounting software.
