RPG Programmer

:

Reporting to our Systems Development Manager, this position is perfect for an RPG programmer with 5+ years' experience. We are also willing to consider less years based on depth of experience. This position provides integral support to our manufacturing operation and is afforded the opportunity to contribute to multiple projects that support a variety of internal departments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works collaboratively with Senior Programmers for project design project management
• Analyzes and addresses day-to-day problems either by modifying or adding new system applications.
• Analyzes, reviews, recommends, and writes programs to increase operating efficiency or adapting new requirements
• Converts project specifications into new or existing computer programs by writing, debugging and testing them to provide business solutions
• Evaluates and estimates user requests for new or modified programs
• Installs software into production
• Provides technical assistance to user community and within department. Assists in answering troubleshooting questions, solving operating problems, and modifies program to correct errors
• Learns and utilizes new technology and skills. Attends educational sessions to help determine necessary technical solutions
• Writes documentation to describe program logic, coding, and corrections

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree preferred in Computer Programming or technical trade school graduate
• Experience programming in Profound or other web development is a plus, as systems continue to be modernized
• Job may require 24-hour basis software support when deemed by Systems Development Manager
• May require the occasional travel to different company sites
