The Role at a Glance

We have an exciting new role open for associate actuary for the centralized pricing models on the annuity solutions team. This individual will play an integral role in developing industry-leading model capabilities and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure our models are optimized to deliver on a broad array of critical business needs. The individual will work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize model enhancements and collaborate with the rest of the Annuity Centralized Pricing Model Development team to implement model enhancements appropriately and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

•Develop and execute model updates including (but not limited to) regulatory changes, new products and new product features, assumption unlocking, and ad hoc model improvements as needed in both Excel/VBA based and GGY-AXIS based annuity actuarial pricing models.
•Communicate the timelines, the what and why, and the corresponding estimated financial impacts for model updates.
•Collaborate on the development of end user pre/post processes and the overall model ease-of-use for the end user.
•Ensure proper documentation, review, and validation of model developments and enhancements.

What we’re looking for

Must have:
•4+ years of professional actuarial experience, including experience in modeling
•Enjoys problem-solving and has a drive to learn, grow, and innovate
•Works well in a team/collaborative environment, while also able to deliver on individual objectives
•Experience with VBA, Python, and/or other programming languages
•ASA designation preferred

Nice to Have:
•Understanding of RILA and/or VA annuity products a strong plus
•Experience with GGY-AXIS software a strong plus
•Good communication skills
•Understanding of Annuity regulatory/accounting/capital frameworks
•Understanding of capital markets and financial instruments (assets and derivatives) that support Annuity products
•History of innovation and process improvement

The pay range for this position is $79,601 - $145,100 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
