Description
The Customer Care Intern will provide excellent customer service by assisting in the retrieval of missing information and responding to client inquiries. As well as to accurately and expeditiously receive, verify, prioritize and facilitate the process by which patient samples move throughout the lab. Additionally, distribute patient results and return samples back to the client. The Customer Care Intern will assist with data analysis tasks as well as data management (cleaning, merging, transformations, data scraping, and data visualization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· General support of Customer Care department.
· Receive packages.
· Answer phones, route calls appropriately, and greet visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
· Accessioning; Data entry.
· Sample tracking internally and externally.
· Organize and assist in the retrieval of missing patient information.
· Responsible for faxing and mailing patient reports in a timely manner.
· Filing.
· Prepare detailed reports using Excel.
· Organize and maintain working areas.
· Monitor data entry and recruitment activity
· Perform data quality review and data cleaning tasks
· Assist staff with computer and database tasks
· Responsible for shipping specimen blocks to Pathology labs once cases have been reported
· Assist customer care team when needed
· Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
· High School Diploma required
· Attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; excellent, effective verbal and written communication skills
· Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines.
· Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science obtained or in-progress preferred.
Salary Description
$18-$19/hour
