What You’ll Do

• Handle property level portfolio accounting; review monthly GL activity and reconciliations
• Own fixed assets within the ERP (capitalization, depreciation, roll-forwards)
• Manage general ledger accounting and identify process improvement opportunities
• Manage the monthly close process and meet Controller deadlines
• Serve as a primary liaison for auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Partner with property management on budget vs. actual analysis and variance explanations
• Support treasury, cash management, and banking activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Act as a go-to resource for real estate accounting matters

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of real estate accounting experience (multi-property preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Yardi, MRI, Entrata, or similar systems
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and real estate concepts
• Comfortable juggling multiple properties in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to taxes, auditors, and or value-add initiatives
