Speech therapist

Judge Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist for an opening with a local school in the Collegeville, PA area.

Position Details:

Title : Speech Therapist

Location: Collegeville, PA 19426

Type of Engagement : Contract

Rate : Competitive and Dependent on Experience

Specific Duties:

• Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays.
• Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, taking into consideration their age, development level, and communication goals.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide speech and language therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups, using evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication skills.
• Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student development and support.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Advocacy: Advocate for students' needs and promote awareness of speech and language disorders within the school community.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of diverse assessment and intervention techniques for various speech and language disorders.

• Typical school hours, the hours will differ depending on what school you are working in.
