Service Advisor

Cycle Max is a growing powersports dealer and we are looking for a customer focused Service Advisor whose duties will include admitting customer vehicles to Cycle Max’s service department, evaluating individual customer needs and realizing the potential to recommend additional work as needed. Service Advisor duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about the services we perform and recommend additional work as the vehicle would need. To be successful as a Service Advisor, you should stay up to date with ever changing motorcycle/ATV/UTV repair protocols and diagnostic tools while facilitating communication between customers and technicians. This includes the ability to move and ride motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs around the service department with confidence and avoid all damage to customer vehicles. Ultimately, the duties of a Service Advisor are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s service goals. Responsibilities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication
  • Assess customers’ needs and aid in understanding why and how repairs are being completed
  • Promptly welcome customers to the store and answer their inquiries
  • Follow and achieve department’s goals on a monthly basis
  • Maintain a clean service desk and overall shop cleanliness
  • Remain knowledgeable on repair protocols for all manufacturers Cycle Max carries. This includes motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs from Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki and Yamaha
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Cross sell products and recommend additional work that customers may not have realized should be done
  • Team mentality and ability to work with co-workers including the sales department in order to promptly assemble new units, repair any damaged units, assess trade vehicles and apply dealer added options to current sales vehicles
  • Suggest ways to improve the service department for overall efficiency and profit
  • Cashier Repair Orders and transcribe technician’s notes to a customer friendly receipt for customer to better understand work performed
Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Service Advisor, Service Technician or similar role
  • Basic understanding of customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Computer and note taking skill required
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Availability to work flexible hours. Saturdays are required. Cycle Max closes when the last customer leaves the building
  • High school degree, technical school/college degree preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. is required
