As a **Security Officer - Metal Detector Access Control** in **York, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to create a secure environment at a cultural institution by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will utilize technology such as computers, tablets, and alarm panels to manage access and respond to situations as needed. **What You'll Do:**
+ Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of visitors, staff, and/or contractors according to site-specific policies.
+ Deliver customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
+ Carry out security-related procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
+ Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations observed during shifts.
+ Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
+ Participate in required training and maintain awareness of site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.
+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Loss prevention experience preferred.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Must have 1+ years of Security experience or the equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
