Morning Porter / Dishwasher

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Morning Porter / Dishwasher to join our restaurant team.

This is a hands-on daytime position that helps keep the restaurant clean, organized, and ready for service. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping things spotless, works efficiently, and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete daytime dishwashing and keep the dish area clean and organized
• Assist with basic food prep and other kitchen tasks as needed
• Sweep and mop the entire restaurant
• Clean and maintain bathrooms throughout the shift
• Water and care for restaurant plants
• Keep dining room, kitchen, and other areas clean and orderly
• Take care of general cleaning and opening tasks
• Support the kitchen and front-of-house team as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and punctual
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Able to work independently and stay productive
• Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, sweeping, and mopping
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required

Schedule: Daytime / morning hours 10am-6pm
Position: Morning Porter / Dishwasher
Pay: [$16/hr.]
Location: [Vernick Food & Drink, 2031 Walnut St.]

Portero/a de Mañana / Lavaplatos

Este es un puesto de día, práctico y activo, que ayuda a mantener el restaurante limpio, organizado y listo para el servicio. La persona ideal se enorgullece de mantener todo impecable, trabaja de manera eficiente y está dispuesta a ayudar donde sea necesario.

Responsabilidades

• Lavar los platos durante el día y mantener el área de lavado limpia y organizada
• Ayudar con preparaciones básicas de alimentos y otras tareas de cocina según sea necesario
• Barrer y trapear todo el restaurante
• Limpiar y mantener los baños durante el turno
• Regar y cuidar las plantas del restaurante
• Mantener el comedor, la cocina y otras áreas limpias y ordenadas
• Realizar tareas generales de limpieza y preparación del restaurante
• Apoyar al equipo de cocina y al equipo de servicio cuando sea necesario

Lo Que Buscamos

• Una persona responsable y puntual
• Atención a la limpieza y a los detalles
• Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente y mantenerse ocupada/o
• Comodidad con el trabajo físico, incluyendo estar de pie, agacharse, levantar objetos, barrer y trapear
• Actitud positiva y disposición para ayudar donde sea necesario
• Experiencia en restaurantes o cocina es un plus, pero no es necesaria
