International Drilling Equipment is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team.
In this role, you assist with the daily operations of the shop, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, and supporting other team members with various tasks as needed. The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, self-motivated, take initiative, ethical, intelligent, and able to adapt to all of the forces around them - customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers and manufacturer’s employees.

Primary job responsibilities:
- Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machinery.
- Operating basic tools and machinery under the supervision of a senior team member.
- Cleaning and maintaining the shop floor, equipment, and tools.
- Moving and organizing materials, products, and supplies as needed.
- Following safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Pressure wash Equipment
- Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Be able to lift more than 50lbs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Education:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A few months to one year of related experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification

- Some computer experience
Physical Requirements:
- Use of hands, fingers, and wrists frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Bending, twisting, lifting, stooping
Work Environment:
Warehouse and yard environments will be subject to weather conditions according to the season
