Job Purpose:
The Petroleum Construction Manager leads and manages NES’s construction department. The Petroleum Construction Manager oversees the installation of equipment in accordance with federal, state and company policies and regulations. Communication and daily interactions with customers, vendors, sub-contractors, local and state regulatory agencies is required. The Petroleum Construction Manager will monitor safety issues and correct issues while ensuring projects are completed on time. The Petroleum Construction Manager will direct and develop foreman, while establishing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive construction options and client-base. This position will implement the company’s policies and procedures, support internal and external marketing plans to increase revenues and profits, and ensure the highest quality of customer service is provided. The Petroleum Construction Manager will represent the company’s core values and uphold the mission and values established by the organization. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Installation of underground/above-ground fuel tanks
- Installation of various types of product piping such as Ameron, A.A.Smith Red Thread, OPW Flexworks Upp, PCI, Nupi etc.
- Installation of dispensers and product piping connections
- Basic understanding of the electrical requirements associated with the installation of AST/UST systems
- Skilled equipment operator (excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.)
- Certification and Training from Petroleum Equipment Manufacturer's a plus (training provided)
- Communicate with foreman, subcontractors, local and state inspectors and vendors
- Field construction experience running a crew and working with sub-contractors
- Monitor and maintain schedules for crew and subcontractors
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Procure equipment & supplies needed, plan out project to minimize costs
- Strong work ethic, detail oriented, reliable with strong communication skills
- Experience installing fuel handling equipment
- Must obtain AND maintain a DOT Medical Card.
- Grow and drive area sales and construction plans’ profitability through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service and outstanding execution of all field operations strategies consistently across all locations.
- Lead and direct the development of construction goals and action plans for the branch.
- Accountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans.
- Evaluate operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the latest trends in the industry.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure efficient and high-quality work
- The ideal candidate is an experienced Construction Supervisor/Foreman who has a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- 5+ Years experience in construction for petroleum projects or related fields
- Valid Drivers license
- State DEP/EPA certifications (for states in which NES does business)
