Ultrasound Tech Job Details

• Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania 15905
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Diagnostic Lab, Echo Department
• Employment Type: Travel Ultrasound Tech
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (10/6/2025 – 1/5/2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (07:00–15:00 or 07:30–16:00)
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed hours)
• Weekend/Call: On call every 4th weekend; rotate call 1–2 times per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2310

Ultrasound Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an EchoSonographer or Ultrasound Technician
• Registered in Echocardiography (ARDMS or CCI certification required)
• Proficient in Adult Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients; pediatric experience a plus
• Familiarity with GE 90-95 ultrasound equipment and EPIC EHR preferred
• Compliance with Pennsylvania state healthcare clearances (Child Abuse, DHS & FBI Fingerprinting, PATCH State Police Clearance)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hospital environment
• Professional appearance; scrubs required (any color)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and TEE procedures
• Deliver accurate diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Participate in rotating on-call duties, including weekend coverage
• Document all procedures and patient data accurately in EPIC EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and uphold a safe, clean clinical environment
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic hospital setting
