Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1–5 years of mental health/behavioral health experience preferred
  • Experience in child and/or adolescent psychiatry
  • Knowledge of evidence-based best practices, trauma-informed therapy, and client-centered treatment
  • Prescriptive privileges, including DEA controlled substances
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Substance abuse/rehab experience welcomed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with computers and tele-psych technology
  • High level of cultural competency and understanding of social barriers to health care access
  • Commitment to a positive, team-based approach to treatment and care


Responsibilities:


  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments, developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe psychiatric medications and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and primary care physicians to ensure appropriate medication monitoring and adherence
  • Provide psychiatric consultations and coordinate services with each client's primary care physician
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and awareness of social barriers to accessing care
  • Promote a collaborative, team-based approach to treatment
