CNC Router Operator - Mastercam

We’re recruiting for a CNC Router Operator with hands-on Mastercam experience to support daily machining operations for a manufacturing client in the Pittsburgh area. This role focuses on CNC router operation, setup, and execution, with Mastercam used to support and modify existing programs rather than owning full program development.

This is a shop-floor role best suited for someone early to mid-career who has worked with Mastercam and wants to continue building real-world CNC experience in a stable production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Operate CNC routers to produce precision components

• Use Mastercam to load, adjust, and support existing CNC programs

• Set up materials, tooling, and fixtures for router jobs

• Run work from blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings

• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications

• Assist with basic troubleshooting related to setups and program adjustments

• Machine plastics, HPL, and aluminum using metric and imperial measurements

• Follow shop safety standards and support preventive maintenance efforts

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience using Mastercam in a CNC machining environment (required)

• Prior CNC router or CNC machine operation experience

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions

• Comfortable making minor program edits and setup adjustments

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and consistency

• Reliable, self-directed, and able to work effectively on the shop floor

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

This is an onsite, full-time CNC role offering steady work, skill development, and long-term stability. It’s a strong fit for candidates who already have Mastercam exposure and want to continue growing their CNC capabilities without stepping into a senior programmer position.
