The River Valley School District is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic educational leader for the position of Superintendent, with an anticipated appointment date of October 2026 . The district serves approximately 1,400 students in grades K–12.

The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who can effectively engage with students, staff, families, and the community while demonstrating a strong commitment to student achievement and well-being. The Superintendent will foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Demonstrated leadership experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to motivate, support, and evaluate staff effectively
• Knowledge of current educational trends, best practices, and state/federal regulations
• Experience in strategic planning, curriculum development, and data-driven decision-making
• Record of fiscal responsibility and effective budget management
• Experience in workforce development, including building partnerships with local businesses, industry, and community organizations to support career pathways and student readiness
• Commitment to equity, student success, and community engagement

Requirements:

• Pennsylvania Letter of Eligibility (required)
• All required Pennsylvania clearances and certifications, including:
• • Act 24 (PDE Arrest/Conviction Report)
  • Act 34 (PA State Police Criminal Record Check)
  • Act 151 (PA Child Abuse Clearance)
  • FBI Fingerprints (dated within one year)
  • Act 126 (Mandated Reporter Training Certificate)

Compensation: Salary will be regionally competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and board-established criteria.
