Municipal Administrative Support Specialist
Location: Exton, PA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Start Date: September (training period)
Coverage: Maternity Leave (October/November) with potential for long-term placement

Position Overview:
A local township in Exton, PA is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Municipal Administrative Support Specialist to provide critical front-office and communications support during a maternity leave period. The selected candidate will train directly with the current team member in September and assume full responsibilities in October. This role may transition into a long-term opportunity as the current employee will be moving into a new position upon their return.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, greeting visitors and handling incoming communications.
• Draft and distribute township communications, including email blasts and public notices.
• Maintain and update content on the township’s website and social media platforms.
• Support administrative functions such as scheduling, filing, and data entry.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of the Official Ordinances, Resolutions, and Minutes books.
• Collaborate with internal departments to assist with ongoing municipal projects and community outreach.

Qualifications:

• Prior administrative or municipal office experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic website/social media platforms.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a public-facing environment.
