Shipping Associate - 2nd Shift - Morgantown, PA

Job Description

This position involves ensuring that the company continuously moves toward a state free from all defects. The Shipper will inspect incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices. Responsibilities include examining items for defects, comparing quantities and part numbers to procurement data, measuring items for dimensional accuracy, and approving or rejecting items based on inspection.

Hours/Pay Rate

• 2nd shift: 1pm - 10pm

Essential Functions

• Inspect incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage during manufacture or transit.
• Compare quantities and part numbers with procurement data and other specifications for accuracy.
• Measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation using measuring instruments.
• Approve or reject items and record inspection information.
• Inspect final and production line parts, materials, and assemblies as required.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
