The ideal candidate will be proactive and have strong experience in calendar management and Microsoft Office. Candidates should also have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and research skills. This position will support 2-3 attorneys.
Primary duties include:
- Schedule events and prepare answers and correspondence
- Organize, chart and process incoming records and invoices
- Follow up for outstanding records via telephone, e-mail, and regular mail
- Edit motion and discovery documents
- Prepare Table of Contents and Table of Authorities for Appellate Briefs
- Organization of case files; gathering, organizing, and analyzing data
- Prepare Affidavit of Service and facilitate outgoing documents to the Court and to adversaries
- Retrieve documents and save to document management system
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of office experience, preferably in a the legal field.
- Knowledge regarding scheduling legal events, including depositions and Motion Hearings
- Experience in preparing and serving documents, typing from dictation,
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications especially Outlook and Word
- Must have ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and NetDocs.
