Could you be the full-time hybrid Project Manager in West Mifflin, PA (Pittsburgh area) we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality propulsion unit solutions to customers, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, design, production, and supply chain), act as the primary liaison with third-party customers and sister sites, and drive project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, and contract accountability, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating across engineering, design, production, and supply chain to ensure products meet customer requirements and delivery dates,
  • Driving project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, and accountability to customer contracts,
  • Owning project planning, risk management, change control, and reporting to stakeholders,
  • Helping transform the site toward autonomous third-party business growth by driving process and organizational change,
  • Conducting on-site customer meetings, project reviews, and site visits as required,
  • Managing and coordinating cross-functional teams and external customers effectively,
  • Delivering stakeholder presentations as needed,
  • Supporting the recruiting and interviewing process,
  • Demonstrating strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in project management, engineering, or a related field,
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer-facing projects ,
  • Formal project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA Level C or equivalent),
  • Experience driving site/business change and engaging with third‑party customers,
  • Rail or industrial experience (desired),
  • Experience with hardware/manufacturing/sales‑to‑customer projects (preferred),
  • Knowledge of project planning, risk management, budgeting, and change control processes,
  • Familiarity with stakeholder management and customer relationship building - strong communication and leadership skills,
  • Ability to coordinate across engineering, production, design, and supply chain teams,
  • Proficiency in managing project financials, including budgeting and cost tracking,
  • Adaptability to drive process and organizational change.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, external customers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful projects,
  • Progress towards driving organizational change and autonomous third-party business growth,
  • Utilise our dynamic, hybrid working environment that fosters innovation and collaboration,
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries,
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning,
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, 401k).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
