Cardiologist Physician
Position Summary
We are seeking a board-certified Cardiologist (MD) to join our interdisciplinary team on either a full-time or part-time basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care—including diagnosis, management, and follow-up of acute and chronic heart conditions—and collaborate closely with primary care providers and other specialists to ensure seamless, patient-first care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outpatient cardiology consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits.
- Interpret diagnostic tests: ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, etc.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for conditions such as CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and lipid disorders.
- Perform and oversee non-invasive procedures in-office (e.g., stress echo, EKGs).
- Collaborate with Altheda’s multidisciplinary team to coordinate referrals, diagnostic workups, and specialist follow-through.
- Educate patients on cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Participate in weekly clinical case conferences and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and coding within the electronic health record (EClinicalWorks).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated proficiency interpreting non-invasive cardiology diagnostics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Commitment to collaboration within a fast-paced, team-oriented outpatient setting.

- Experience in an outpatient or integrated health-system model.
- Interest in digital health tools (remote monitoring, tele-cardiology).
- Passion for community outreach and preventive cardiology.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with trainees and allied health staff.
