Preschool Teacher
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with PA Early Learning Standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Observe and document children’s progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and caregivers
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff
- Follow all state licensing, health, and safety regulations
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred but not required
- Previous preschool or childcare experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Genuine love for working with young children
Pennsylvania Requirements
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Fingerprinting
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Health Assessment & TB Test (as required)
