Hose Fabrication / Cylinder Repair Technician

Essential Functions
- Trouble-shoot, disassemble, clean, repair, rebuild and reassemble hydraulic cylinders
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
- Test cylinders on a state-of-the-art testing table
- Manufacture hydraulic hoses using a high-pressure crimping machine
- Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
- Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
- Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Must have experience with the repair and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders
- Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Experience with cranes and other heavy lift equipment is a plus
Education
· High school diploma/GED
· 2 years related experience
