Our office is currently partnered with a leading company in Allentown, PA in their search for a 2nd shift Shipping & Forklift Operator Associate!

Maintenance Technician Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm

• Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

• Location: Allentown, PA

Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately pull materials to fulfill customer orders.

• Package a wide range of products—from small parcels to large freight—in accordance with customer specifications for both domestic and international shipments.

• Verify identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy against customer orders.

• Determine the most appropriate shipping method based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

• Properly prepare freight for shipment to prevent damage during transit.

• Maintain accurate records and photo documentation of all outgoing shipments; prepare and process necessary shipping paperwork.

• Load outbound trucks and unload inbound raw materials and packaging supplies.

• Transport raw materials to and from production areas as needed.

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels; perform cycle counts as required.

• Complete all shipping documentation in compliance with DOT and Hazmat Regulations with minimal supervision.

• Operate forklifts, order-picking trucks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely after successful training and certification.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment

• Knowledge of proper shipping procedures in accordance with DOT, UPS, IATA, and IMDG regulations.

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize internal Warehouse Management System (WMS) and order fulfillment software.

• Strong forklift and order picker operation proficiency.

• Ability to identify and support continuous improvement opportunities within the department.

• Working knowledge of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies.

• Capability to complete Hazmat shipping training and achieve certification.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, while recognizing when to seek guidance on complex issues.

• Competent computer skills and comfort working with digital tools and documentation
