Head of Outdoor Adventure
Camp Starlight is Hiring a Senior Staff Position for Summer: Outdoor Adventure Activity Head for Summer 2022!
Camp Starlight is now seeking a Head of Outdoor Adventure Activity Head (OA) for the summer season. This senior-level summer position will supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of 14 outdoor adventure program staff members. With activities consisting of archery, ropes/challenge wall, fishing, outdoor living skills, hikes, and camping trips, the OA Activity Head will manage each area and step in when necessary to lead by example. Duties also include pre-camp training, working with staff members to complete lesson plans, and making sure each activity area is organized and well maintained.
Applicants should have a passion for teaching and be able to work well with boys and girls of all levels, prior background with instructing and belaying, developing lessons and team building, experience managing college-aged students, and knowledge of outdoor living skills.
Compensation includes a competitive (and negotiable) salary, travel allowance, housing, all meals, and laundry service. The employment dates are from about June 17 until August 14, annually .
