Job Purpose
/ Proactively pursue aftermarket business with the goal of 100% customer satisfaction and prompt, courteous service on a continually expanding basis, contributing growth and profitability to the company's operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
/ Interpret and properly identify customer parts and service requirements from furnace serial numbers, files, previous order files, drawings, and instruction manuals.
/ Proactively pursue and evaluate inquiries for potential proposal preparation.
/ Determine material requirements from bill of materials, verify part numbers, duplicate drawings, and check material availability.
/ Prepare product quotes including cost estimating, establishing selling prices based on published pricing schedules, determine availability, and maintain accurate cost records.
/ Process obtained orders by preparing paperwork; enter information into the ERP system for assignments, work orders, production schedules and invoices to complete each order.
/ Purchase raw materials and manufactured items required to complete customer requirements. Check best price and availability of outside purchased items and enter electronic purchase requisitions into computer system.
/ Work diligently with colleagues and vendors in the best interests of both customer and company harmony.
/ Notify customers of shipments.
/ Prepare recommended spare parts lists and assist with determining service needs as required.
/ Travel as required for specific projects or training.
/ Make sound decisions concerning pricing, scheduling, and sources, including make or buy decisions in the best interest of the company using sound business sense and consulting immediate supervisor when necessary.
/ Track market activity through available information resources to assure profit optimization.
/ Help implement the established Quality Program, as a condition of employment, as stated in the Corporate Procedures.
/ Maximize revenue-producing activities and minimizing and/or eliminating non-revenue producing activities. Question the status quo and change when beneficial.
/ Any other reasonable task or duty as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
/ Good customer service skills.
/ Knowledge of product designs.
/ Strong sense of urgency and commitment in completing tasks.
/ Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate the sale.
/ Workable and efficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
/ Ability to read and interpret a variety of engineering drawing.

/ Ability to efficiently use the computer, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft CRM, RX
o View (Archive system) or other software programs as required.
/ Microsoft Office
Training Required
/ Mandatory training including orientation, as well as additional training specified. Re-training will be provided as procedures are revised.
/ Any other training deemed necessary by the corporation or immediate supervisor.
Education and Experience
/ Requires a minimum of an associate’s degree in a technical engineering field, or equivalent direct experience.
/ Requires a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of selling experience related to capital goods and/or a customer service-related position.

/ Ability to proactively develop and maintain new aftermarket business.
/ Ability to aggressively pursue customers to develop and close new orders
/ Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of proposals and tasks.
/ Ability and willingness to accomplish annual objectives as established by yearly marketing plans.
/ Maintain constant flow of work by meeting requested deadlines.
/ Degree of respect and cooperation within and outside the organization.
