HAIR STYLIST, PT - MeltSpa by Hershey

Job Description:

MeltSpa by Hershey is a new day spa on Chocolate Avenue in downtown Hershey. Guests will experience melt-worthy relaxation featuring exclusive Hersheys Dark Chocolate treatments as well as signature treatments, salon services and spa packages.

The Hair Stylist is trained and licensed to style, cut and color hair for the guest. They are professionals with experience in a salon. The Hair Stylist must be knowledgeable about all offerings in the salon menu, hold current certifications and have previous experience. They must possess a technical understanding of product ingredients and possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills.

This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program.

Job Functions
(Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

Provide consistent professional hair styling, hair cutting and hair coloring in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific haircare, nail care, skincare and wellness concerns, and recommend home care products/regimens from our retail selection.
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spas policies and procedures.
Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
Assist team in ensuring cleanliness of front of house and back of house areas, as well as assist in restocking and organization of the facility where needed.
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year related experience.
18 years of age or older.
Current PA Cosmetology license is required.
Additional Qualifications:

Must have professional image representative of the luxury day spa market.
Must possess excellent communication and guest service skills.

Must be able to speak and read the English language.
