Astro Machine Works is seeking Full Time Night Shift Machine Operators for our growing team.

Hours are flexible starting from 9PM-11PM and ending from 5AM-7AM.

The Machine Operator works with computer-controlled equipment and machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.

Responsibilities Include:

• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures

• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences

• Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links

• High School Diploma or GED
• Understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments
• Understanding and reading blueprints
• Computer skills
• Pluses for job consideration: experience in a mechanical field or trade school/machine shop education
• A technical background is helpful

Physical Requirements include:

• Ability to lift, push, pull 50lbs

• Performing General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
