What You'll Do

  • Assemble small precision components by following build sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Verify part dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
  • Perform detailed inspections to ensure products meet strict quality and customer requirements.
  • Assemble and inspect very small components using microscopes.
  • Use hand tools and foot-powered tools to cut wire, trim insulation, crimp connectors, and perform solder dip operations as required.
  • Utilize the ERP system to access drawings, production routings, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation throughout the assembly process.
  • Assist with packaging finished products according to quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience performing small-part assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances and precision measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and technical work instructions.
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work with microscopes for detailed assembly and inspection work.
  • Understanding of inches, millimeters, and measurement conversions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to accurately complete documentation.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Precision assembly experience in manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, medical device, or similar industries.
  • Experience with quality inspections and visual inspections under magnification.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production documentation.
  • Experience maintaining traceability records and routing documentation.
  • Knowledge of customer-specific quality standards and inspection requirements.
  • Desire to develop additional technical skills and grow professionally.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
