Information System Security Engineer III

ProSync is looking for a highly skilled Information System Security Engineer III to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive information systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced cybersecurity methodologies and frameworks to identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security measures, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach to securing our networks and systems against a continually evolving landscape of cyber threats. 

This position offers a salary in the range of $100k-120k with some flexibility based on numerous factors, including degree and overall experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Information System Security Engineer III, you will:

• Design and implement comprehensive security architectures that protect the organization's information systems and data assets from a wide range of threats.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on existing systems and networks, recommending enhancements and ensuring timely implementation of security patches and updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, document, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures that promote best practices across the organization.
• Lead security incident response efforts, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to analyze and remediate security incidents promptly.
• Perform security audits and assessments, facilitating continuous monitoring and compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and RMF.
• Implement advanced security technologies and solutions, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior security personnel, enhancing the overall security awareness and capabilities within the team.
• Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends, recommending proactive measures to safeguard organizational assets.

• Seven (7) years professional experience capturing and refining information security operational and security requirements, and ensuring those requirements are properly addressed through purposeful development, and configuration, and implementing security controls, configuration changes, software/hardware updates/patches, vulnerability scanning, and securing configurations.
• An ACTIVE minimum Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position. (We are not able to sponsor clearances at this time.)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent STEM l degree from an accredited college or university.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Need to possess an active IAT-III cert (i.e., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
