Tree Service Groundsman (Entry-Level)

Position Overview:
The Tree Surgeon, LLC is looking for a motivated and dependable Groundsman to join our tree service crew. This is an entry-level position—no prior experience is required. We are willing to train the right individual who shows initiative, a strong work ethic, and a “go-getter” attitude.

As a Groundsman, you will play a key role in supporting our crew with tree removals, pruning, and job site cleanup while learning the skills needed to grow within the tree care industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist crew members with tree removal and trimming operations
• Operate basic equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools (training provided)
• Drag and stack brush, feed wood into chipper, and maintain a clean worksite
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
• Support climbers and equipment operators on job sites
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

• No experience required – we will train
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Self-motivated with a “get it done” attitude
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically capable of lifting, dragging, and working on your feet throughout the day
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Valid Drivers License

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with operating man lift.
• Interest in growing into a climber or equipment operator role
