Job Description
Join our team as a Pharmacy Care Technician, where you will play a crucial role in preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. This full-time position requires working weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, including every other weekend, with compensatory days off before and after the weekend worked.
Responsibilities

Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them according to procedure.

Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times.

Manually package materials and products.

Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.

Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.

Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product scanning issues.

Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all necessary stock supplies.

Adhere to all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work at a moderate speed.

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

No licensing required, but experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The role involves sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. You may be required to work extended hours as needed. The position demands finger dexterity to operate office equipment and may require lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity for reading fine prints and specific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment are necessary. The ability to hear normal voice sounds is essential. The work environment is representative of the conditions encountered while performing the essential functions of this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
