Job Summary
A Human Resource Generalist is a professional who handles a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Human Resource Generalists also assist with payroll support, training and development, and employee engagement and retention.
Job Description
- Provide HR support across all teams
- Assist in recruiting
- Assist with benefits administration
- Manage onboarding process
- Prepare orientation materials and conduct training sessions
- Help organize employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Maintain HRIS database (ADP) and assist in generating reports
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Provide payroll support
- Ensure compliance with labor laws/regulations and company policies
Skills Required
- 2-5 years of related work experience
- Self-sufficient
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Skilled at conflict resolution
- High discretion and ethics
- Organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team player. Able to communicate and relate well with others
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds
- Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings
