Hours: 8:30am-5pm. 1 hour lunch. Monday through Friday.

Overview


Join a fast-paced, detail-oriented team dedicated to conducting employment and education verifications for job applicants on behalf of our clients. As a Verification Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of hiring decisions through thorough and professional background checks.



Key Responsibilities

• Conduct phone interviews with previous employers to confirm employment history

• Verify academic credentials with educational institutions

• Interview professional references to assess applicant qualifications

• Confirm professional licenses using appropriate databases and resources

• Use online tools to identify and optimize contact methods

• Accurately document verification results in client-facing software systems

• Handle sensitive personal and professional information with discretion and in accordance with data protection policies

• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy regulations and internal protocols

• Cross-train in additional departmental specialties to support team flexibility

• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence

Qualifications

• Prior experience in background screening or verification preferred, but not required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional phone demeanor essential

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with 100% accuracy

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and responsible handling of sensitive data

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

• Must pass a comprehensive background check
